Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of 3 D digital models combined with stereoscopic visual presentation system in neurosurgical clinical teaching. Methods Digital anatomical models of the skull and brain were constructed using thin-slice computed tomography(CT)data to simulate common skull base surgical approaches.Participants were randomly divided into two groups, with 20 individuals in each group. The observation group received teaching using 3 D digital models combined with stereoscopic visual presentation, while the control group received traditional teaching methods.Differences in assessment scores and subjective learning satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The initial assessment scores were(87.55±4.97)points in the observation group and(86.20±5.76)points in the control group(P>0.05).The final assessment scores were(92.85±3.00)points in the observation group, which was significantly higher than(89.80±4.10)points in the control group(P<0.05).In the questionnaire survey on learning interest and learning efficiency, the observation group scored(9.15±0.74)points and(8.45±0.89)points,respectively,both higher than the control group's scores of(6.25±1.21)points and(6.30±1.30)points,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion The teaching method using 3 D digital models combined with stereoscopic visual presentation can significantly enhance participants'understanding and interest in skull base anatomy and surgical approaches.Residents receiving such teaching methods will have significant improvements in final assessment scores, learning efficiency and learning interest compared with those receiving traditional teaching methods.
