Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effectiveness of an evidence-based teaching model in standardized orthopedic residency training. Methods A total of 120 residents undergoing standardized training in the Department of Orthopedics from September 2022 to December 2024 were enrolled and randomly assigned to either an observation group(n=60)or a control group(n=60).The observation group introduced evidence-based thinking into instructions, while the control group followed traditional teaching methods.Training outcomes were compared through theoretical knowledge assessments, practical skill evaluations, medical record analysis tests, and structured questionnaires. Results Residents in the observation group demonstrated significantly higher scores than the control group in theoretical knowledge(P<0.05),practical skills(P<0.05),and medical record analysis(P<0.05).Questionnaire results revealed superior performance in the observation group across learning interest,self-directed learning capacity, literature retrieval skills, clinical reasoning,doctor-patient communication and training satisfaction(all P<0.05).Conclusion The evidence-based teaching model can effectively enhance orthopedic residents'training outcomes while fostering clinical reasoning and practical competencies.
