To explore the necessity of cancer imaging teaching in the age of precision medicine

Abstract:The diagnosis and treatment of cancer has stepped into the stage of precision and individualized medicine.Imaging medicine plays an important role in cancer medicine as a biomarker.Cancer medicine in the age of precision medicine requires us to train cancer imaging specialists who can comprehensively diagnose and evaluate the diseases.The traditional teaching mode of human organs as the center has limited the breadth of thinking of imaging doctors.The author strongly suggests that a comprehensive teaching system of"Cancer Imaging"should be added to the standardized training of imaging residents and specialists,so that imaging doctors can fully grasp the complexity of cancer imaging and diagnose,and evaluate the diseases more accurately.Imaging doctors will be proficient in applying international guidelines or standards for cancer treatment evaluation,understanding the latest treatment principles and imaging findings after treatment,and being able to diagnose and treat complications and acute complications immediately.
