Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of online and offline clinical practice training methods on the improvement of the competency of Obstetrics and Gynecology clinical postgraduate residents, and to provide evidence-based support for optimizing the training system. Methods Eighty of the third-year clinical postgraduate students participating in residency training in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 participants in each group. The control group adopted the traditional offline teaching model centered on case-based learning(CBL),while the observation group adopted the new teaching and training model.A simulation assessment was conducted two months after the training.Differences between the two groups were compared in terms of simulation assessment scores, pass rates, teaching satisfaction, and evaluation of teaching methods. Results The simulation assessment score of the observation group was(83.23±8.55)points,higher than that of the control group(76.37±9.76)points,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The passing rate of the simulated test was higher than that of the control group(90.00%vs 77.50%),but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The observation group showed significantly higher satisfaction than the control group in teaching methods,post-class feedback, assessment results, and overall teaching and assessment model(all P<0.05),while satisfaction with teaching content and assessment processes was not statistically significant between the two groups(all P>0.05).The observation group rated the teaching methods significantly higher than the control group in terms of stimulating learning interest, fostering self-learning ability, improving doctor-patient communication skills, clinical thinking ability, and practical skill operation ability(all P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical practice teaching model based on the"online class"can improve both competency and satisfaction of obstetrics and gynecology residents, providing a basis for optimizing residency training.
