Application of hierarchical teaching based on Milestones 2.0 system in the standardized residency training of general practice residents

Abstract：Objective To explore the application of hierarchical teaching based on Milestones 2.0 system in the standardized residency training of general practice residents.Methods Based on the actual situation of our country and our training base,Milestones 2.0 evaluation system was revised.From February 2022,the dynamic stratification by Milestones 2.0 system was carried out for all residents in our base.The observation group(Grade 2021 and 2022 residents)received hierarchical teaching based on Milestones 2.0 system,while the control group(Grade 2018,2019 and 2020 residents)adopted traditional teaching.The process assessment and medical licensing examination of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results After using the Milestones 2.0 hierarchical teaching,in the observation group,the first pass rate and the comprehensive knowledge score of the public subjects examination in Shanghai standardized residency training,and the first pass rate of medical licensing examination were significantly higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05).The comprehensive ability of observation group was improved.Conclusion The hierarchical teaching method based on the Milestones 2.0 evaluation system is superior to the traditional teaching method,which is recommended to be popularized in the standardized training of general practice residents.
