Abstract:This paper explores the integration of narrative medicine into the standardized training programs for obstetrics and gynecology residents.By guiding residents to attentively observe patients'verbal and non-verbal cues during consultations, and to delve into the narratives behind medical conditions, this approach aims to enhance their communication skills with patients.Additionally, through the writing of parallel medical records in obstetrics and gynecology, residents are encouraged to reflect on their clinical practices, empathize with patients'experiences, and progressively develop their proficiency in applying narrative medicine. This process facilitates residents'ability to listen actively and understand patients'perspectives, thereby fostering humanistic care through narrative reflection. As they acquire clinical knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, residents can also refine their communication techniques with female patients, thereby improving clinical diagnosis and treatment outcomes, and promoting harmonious doctor-patient relationships.
