Exploration of integrating medical humanities education into clinical practice of ultrasound medicine master's degree graduate students

Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of medical humanities education in the cultivation of medical master's degree postgraduates in our Ultrasound Medicine Department.Methods Direct observation of procedural skills(Dops)was applied to a medical humanities education course for 49 postgraduate students with the Master of Medicine degree in ultrasound medicine at the University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University,and the patient satisfaction survey was used to evaluate the effect of the course.Results Residents participating in humanities education training believed that humanities education training played a great role in medical practice,improved humanities quality and doctor-patient communication ability,and could better implement humanities consciousness in clinical practice to achieve higher patient satisfaction.Conclusion Integrating medical humanities education into the training of medical master's degree postgraduates in ultrasound medicine can effectively enhance the humanities awareness of residents and improve residents'satisfaction,it provides new ideas and methods for the reform of the teaching practice mode of medical master's degree students in the department of ultrasound medicine.
