Abstract:Child and adolescent mental health has emerged as a global public health crisis, necessitating the urgent allocation of sufficient medical resources.Cultivating competent child and adolescent psychiatrists(CAPs)represents a crucial approach to addressing this issue. However, the current status of CAP training in China remains in its initial developmental stage, encountering numerous challenges that hinder the development of CAPs.This article aims to review these challenges in the context of China's current post-graduation medical education(GME)system, explore potential coping strategies, and thereby lay a foundation for improving the future construction of the CAP training system within GME in China.
