Exploration of outpatient teaching mode in the standardized training of internal medicine residents

Abstract:Objective To explore the application of teaching clinic in the standardized training of internal medicine residents,and compare the teaching effect of two outpatient teaching modes.Methods The internal medicine residents rotating in the internal medicine teaching outpatient clinic,the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC from July 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects.During the internal medicine teaching outpatient clinic rotation,the residents received both traditional medical outpatient teaching mode and supervised outpatient teaching mode.After the internal medicine teaching clinic rotation,the attitude and feelings of residents towards the two outpatient teaching modes were anonymously investigated by questionnaires.Results 87.3%of the internal medicine residents thought it was necessary to arrange a separate internal medicine teaching clinic for internal medicine residents.Comparing the two internal medicine outpatient teaching modes,87.3%of the internal medicine residents preferred the supervised teaching clinic teaching mode rather than the traditional medical outpatient teaching mode.The supervised teaching clinic teaching mode was more conducive to improving the doctor-patient communication ability,clinical thinking ability and independent diagnosis and treatment ability of internal medicine residents(all P<0.05).Conclusion Supervised teaching clinic teaching mode has good teaching effect in internal medicine teaching outpatient clinic,and can improve residents'doctor-patient communication ability,clinical thinking ability and independent diagnosis and treatment ability more effectively.
