Abstract:Objective To explore the role of virtual reality technology in trauma first-aid training of standardized training for resident doctors(hereinafter referred to as residency training). Methods A total of 120 resident doctors from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University who participated in the standardized training program in 2021 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 60 residents in each group. There was no statistically significant difference in gender and age between the two groups of resident doctors. After the training of the two groups, trauma first aid theoretical knowledge and skill assessments were conducted, and questionnaires were issued for self-evaluation and teaching satisfaction evaluation. Results Compared with the control group, the application of virtual reality technology in the teaching of trauma rescue reproduced the first aid scene and the complete first aid treatment process. The residents in the observation group were fully immersed in the virtual trauma rescue situation. Therefore, their first aid response, clinical thinking, standardized operation and team cooperation were elevated. It was beneficial to improve the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of trauma rescue of the students, and the teaching satisfaction was also greatly improved. Conclusion Virtual reality technology plays a positive role in improving the effect of trauma first aid teaching and is worthy of promotion in residency training.
