Abstract:Objective To explore the application of high simulation models in abnormal delivery teaching rounds to address the dynamic changes in the labor process. Methods The second year and third year resident physicians at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Professional Base of Chongqing University Affiliated Three Gorges Hospital from September 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a simulated teaching group(observation group)and a traditional teaching group(control group). The observation group used a high simulation model for abnormal delivery teaching rounds to visualize the dynamic changes of the fetus under labor force to adapt to the changes in the birth canal. The study reviewed the labor force, birth canal, fetal interaction, and labor process, and analyzed and discussed them in combination with the labor process diagram; The control group used PPT and wall charts combined with labor process diagrams to analyze and discuss the cases. After the teaching rounds were completed, the Likert scale was used to evaluate the subjective experience of resident physicians towards the two teaching rounds, and theoretical and skill assessments are conducted to compare the differences in scores between the two groups. Results The Likert scale and assessment results showed that the observation group had a more realistic and natural experience, which was believed to be beneficial for establishing the clinical thinking of resident physicians, combining theory with clinical practice, and improving their abilities in doctor-patient communication and teamwork. Conclusion The application of high simulation models in teaching ward rounds for abnormal childbirth can help resident physicians better understand and analyze the interaction between labor, birth canal, fetus, and labor process, and identify the causes of abnormal childbirth.
