Application of PBL-CBL teaching method in medical humanistic education in standardized training of hematology medicine residents

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of PBL-CBL teaching method in the medical humanities education of standardized training of internal medicine residents in the hematology department.Methods From August 2020 to June 2021,84 resident physicians in the Department of Hematology who participated in standardized training in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital were selected.They were randomly divided into two groups by stratified sampling method:the observation group(42 cases)adopted PBL-CBL teaching mode,and the control group(42 cases)adopted traditional teaching mode.After completion of the teaching,residents were tested in the form of role play tests,and a questionnaire survey was conducted.Both cohorts'grasp of the teaching content and teaching satisfaction were compared.Results The differences in basic theoretical knowledge,case analysis,operation performance and humanistic care achievement between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).About the satisfaction survey,results of the observation group were better than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional teaching mode,PBL-CBL teaching mode has better clinical teaching effect and can better improve the medical humanities abilities of residents.
