Study on the quality and satisfaction of residency training in radiation oncology

Abstract:Objective To compare and analyze the evaluation of skill training process of radiation oncology residents in Fujian Province in 2021 and 2023 Oncology Hospital and non-oncology hospital,to explore the strategy of improving the quality of resident training.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among the residents who participated in standardized residency training of radiation oncology department of Fujian Province in 2021 and 2023,to analyze and compare the evaluation differences of the residents in different years and different bases on the difficulty of assessment and training base.Results The 2023 satisfaction of the residents in the non-tumor hospital was lower than that of the tumor hospital(P<0.05).Compared with 2021,2023 residents considered the test questions more difficult(P<0.05)and the test questions less consistent with training(P<0.05),however,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the evaluation of teaching level and practice operation opportunity(P>0.05).Conclusion It is necessary to enhance the faculty of radiation oncology,especially in non-tumor hospitals,to ensure the homogeneity of training,to improve the quality of resident training,and to give full play to the advantages of online theoretical teaching platform,to meet the needs of clinical teaching in the new era,we should pay attention to the centralized teaching under the guidance of the line and keep on reforming and innovating.
