Effect of flipped classroom combined with situational teaching on the satisfaction of residents specializing in temporomandibular joint surgery

Abstract:Objective To explore the application of flipped classroom combined with situational teaching in the residency training specializing in temporomandibular joint surgery.Methods 20 residents in temporomandibular joint surgery were divided into two groups,with 10 in each group.The observation group adopted flipped classroom combined with situational teaching,while the control group received traditional teaching and completed teaching and assessment.A comparative analysis of the teaching feedback and satisfaction survey of the two groups was conducted.Results The overall teaching satisfaction of the observation group was higher,and the residents showed a stronger interest in learning about temporomandibular joint surgery.Conclusion Flipped classroom combined with situational teaching is a more optimized and popular training model for temporomandibular joint surgery,which helps to improve the understanding of theoretical knowledge of residents in temporomandibular joint surgery and provides a good foundation for their smooth transition to the role of clinical doctors.
