Application of BOPPPS combined with CBL teaching method in dental general practice residency training to enhance clinical thinking skills

Abstract：Objective The purpose of this study was to explore the application effect of BOPPPS combined with case-based teaching method(abbreviated as joint pedagogy)in improving the clinical thinking ability of oral comprehensive resident physicians.Methods This study selected the oral comprehensive resident physicians of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University from 2020 to 2022,applied the joint pedagogy in the teaching process,and analyzed its teaching effect and advantages compared with the traditional education method.Results The joint pedagogy had the advantages of clear teaching objectives,flexible teaching methods,improving learning enthusiasm,and improving teaching level in the training of resident physicians.Conclusion The joint pedagogy improves the learning effect of residents,enhances their clinical thinking,logical thinking and scientific research and innovation ability,and provides a reference for the clinical teaching reform of residents.
