Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of in vitro organ training for surgical residents. Methods A total of 29 resident training doctors(23 in surgery and 6 in urology)majored in the surgery and urology in our hospital in 2019 were selected as the research subjects. These resident doctors were divided into three groups:open appendectomy group(13 doctors),laparoscopic appendectomy group(10 doctors),and laparoscopic renal cyst decapitation decompression group(6 doctors).Animal in vitro organ training included general training and surgical training. Before the start of each training program, resident doctors conducted operational ability assessments for each training program. After the training, both the general training and surgical training of animal organs in vitro were graded and assessed. All doctors received the recognition questionnaire survey. Results All 29 resident doctors successfully completed their training and assessment. After general training of animal organs in vitro, the performance of resident doctors in general training was significantly improved(P<0.01).The passing rate of the pre-training assessment in the open appendectomy group was only 10.26%,and the passing rate after training was 94.87%;the passing rate of pre-training assessment in the laparoscopic appendectomy group was only 5.56%,and the passing rate after training was 46.67%;the passing rate of the pre-training assessment in the laparoscopic renal cyst decapitation decompression group was only 21.43%,and the passing rate after training was 69.05%.The passing rates in the three groups of trainees increased significantly after training(P<0.01).The questionnaire survey showed that the effect of animal organ training in vitro was recognized by the vast majority of resident doctors participating in the training. Conclusion Animal in vitro organ training can effectively improve the operational skills of resident doctors in the three modus operations, and is a fast and effective method to improve their clinical practice skills.
