Visual analysis of research hotspots and trend of standardized residency training of radiology in China

Abstract：Objective To visually analyze the literature on standardized residency training for radiology in China,and to discuss the hotspots and trend in this field.Methods The relevant literature on standardized residency training for radiology in China,which were published in China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)between January 2013 and June 2023,were searched.The number of publications,the author,the institution,the journal and the keyword were visually analyzed using the tools from CNKI and the CiteSpace software.Results A total of 217 articles were included.The number of publications was increasing yearly,and was stable at about 30 articles per year recently.The authors and the institutions of the articles were mainly concentrated in affiliated hospitals of medical colleges and universities,with less inter-author or inter-institution cooperation.The co-occurrence maps of keywords showed that the top three keywords in frequency were resident(76 articles),radiology(46 articles)and teaching(19 articles),and the top three keywords in centrality were resident(0.60),radiology(0.30)and teaching(0.17).The cluster and emergent words analysis suggested that teaching reform and core competency had long been focused on,and teaching management had recently gained attention.Conclusions The standardized residency training for radiology in China has attracted more and more attention,while the cooperation between authors and institutions is encouraged.As the standardized residency training for radiology in China gradually gets stable,the research hotspots may shift from the creation to management of this system,and corresponding teaching models and methods still need to be continuously innovated.
