Exploration of the significance and challenges of promoting morning reports as a core teaching activity

Abstract:This article mainly reviews the role of morning reports in post-graduation medical education and discusses the challenges faced in implementing morning reports.The morning report is a clinical teaching activity centered around residents,based on real clinical cases,and characterized by strong interactivity.It has unique advantages in improving residents'clinical thinking and clinical skill levels,enhancing their sense of responsibility,and enhancing their autonomous learning and communication and teaching abilities.The article compares the morning reports with other teaching activities and emphasizes the necessity of morning reports as a core teaching activity in medical education.The article also analyzes the positive impact of morning reports on residents'academic assessment results and the quality of hospital medical care.The implementation of morning reports also faces great challenges,with issues in resource allocation,time management,faculty and student participation,and institutional guarantees.Finally,the article discusses strategies to overcome these difficulties and looks forward to the future development trends of morning reports.
