Application effect of image fusion technology-assisted echocardiography teaching in standardized training for general practice residents

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the application effect of image fusion technology-assisted echocardiography teaching in the standardized training for general practice residents.Methods Twenty-one general practice residents who underwent ultrasound rotation at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the observation group.They were taught with image fusion-assisted traditional teaching.Nineteen residents who underwent rotation from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the control group and taught with traditional teaching.The teaching effect was evaluated through comprehensive ability assessment,questionnaire evaluation,and test score comparison.Results Before training,there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of various evaluation indicators of comprehensive ability between the two groups(P>0.05).After training,the observation group scored higher than the control group in basic theory,clinical thinking,doctor-patient communication and knowledge expansion in terms of comprehensive ability(P<0.05).The observation group also scored slightly higher in humanistic literacy evaluation than the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The observation group's scores in professional theory written test and practical skills were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).According to the questionnaire,the teaching effectiveness score of the observation group was superior to the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Image fusion technology-assisted echocardiography teaching can achieve good teaching effects in residency training for general practice residents.
