Application of SimMan3G scenario simulation training in pneumothorax teaching of anesthesia resident training students

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of SimMan3 G-based scenario simulation training in pneumothorax teaching for residents majoring in anesthesia.Methods From January,2020 to June,2023,80 residents in the anesthesia training base of our center were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 40 in each group,with SimMan3 G Pneumothorax scenario simulation training and thoracocentesis operation training in the observation group and pneumothorax PPT teaching and thoracocentesis operation training in the control group.After teaching,the students in both groups underwent theoretical examination and pneumothorax puncture operation examination,and filled out questionnaires to compare the theoretical examination and pneumothorax puncture operation examination scores of residents in both groups,their satisfaction with teaching design and teaching effect,and changes in autonomous learning ability before and after teaching.Results The theoretical examination scores of residents in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The residents'satisfaction with teaching design and teaching effect in observation group was better than that in control group(P<0.05).After one week of teaching,the scores of self-control,self-management,love of learning and the total scores of SDLR in the two groups were higher than those before teaching,but the difference between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion SimMan3 G scenario simulation training in pneumothorax teaching for residents specializing in anesthesia can improve the residents'understanding of theoretical knowledge of pneumothorax,the ability of practical operation and the ability to deal with anesthesia crisis events,improve the satisfaction of residents,and improve their autonomous learning ability.It is worth popularizing and applying widely.
