Core competencies and training strategies for healthcare simulation facilitators

Abstract：With the comprehensive development of standardized training for residents nationwide,simulation-based medical education is developing rapidly in China.Cultivating high-quality simulation facilitators have become the key in the development of domestic simulation-based medical education.This article summarizes the definition and categories of simulation facilitators'competencies through teacher competency models combined with the role of healthcare simulation facilitators,elaborates on the five core skills that simulation facilitators should possess,and proposes training strategies for simulation facilitators from four aspects based on the law of ability acquirement and the actual work status of domestic clinical physicians.
