Abstract:Objective To explore the design and application of the two-way feedback and re-evaluation mechanism in competency-based medical education. Methods Based on clinical practice and literature reading, five standardized implementation steps were proposed for the practice of two-way feedback and re-evaluation mechanism. Results The case study demonstrated that the two-way feedback and re-evaluation mechanism had a broader application than traditional evaluation methods. It could assist supervising physicians and residents in obtaining more comprehensive feedback, which could aid in the further development of the learning and teaching program. Conclusion The clinical practice of standardized anesthesiology residency training is very complex, and the validity and implementability of the two-way feedback and re-evaluation mechanism proposed in this study are not yet supported by sufficient evidence in practice.Furthermore, the scales and questionnaires needed in practice need to be developed based on further research evidence.
