Application of standardized patients in history collection and physical examination stations of the standardized training for pediatric residents in Beijing

Abstract:Objective To explore the role and effect of nurse standardized patients in clinical skill completion assessment of pediatric residents in Beijing in the physical examination and medical history collection stations,and to put forward suggestions.Methods 147 resident physicians'scores data was collected and analyzed,which was marked by the standardized patients and expert examiners at the clinical skill examination history collection station and the physical examination station.Results The Cronbach's a of standardized patient scores of physical examination and medical history collection stations were 0.922 and 0.815,indicating high reliability.The standardized patient scores of the two stations were higher than the expert scores,0.45 and 0.63(P<0.05)respectively,which were basically consistent with the expert examiner scores,with high accuracy.Conclusion Standardized patient application in objective structured clinical skill assessment has achieved good evaluation effect,and can be used as an auxiliary means in pediatric residency training assessment.
