Abstract:With the rapid development of molecular biology, the improvement of people's understanding of genetic diseases and the increase in the demand for prenatal diagnosis of genetic diseases, the demand for genetic counselors has become more and more urgent, and the application of medical genetics in the medical field has become more and more widespread.China has successively issued relevant policies, set"medical genetics"as standardized training major of residents in 2014.Medical genetics specialty, which is difficult, starts late, covers a wide range of domains, and updates rapidly. In addition, genetic diseases are mostly rare diseases in the population,so it is difficult for residents to see all the cases required by the training syllabus and to conduct genetic counseling independently. In this study, the teaching method of simulated genetic counseling was used to explore the effect of its application in the standardized training of clinical genetics residents by investigating residents'learning outcomes.
