Abstract:Objective To analyze and summarize the pathological morphological characteristics, immunohistochemistry, and gene testing of mucinous liposarcoma at the metatarsophalangeal joint. Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of one case of mucinous liposarcoma at the metatarsophalangeal joint treated in our hospital was conducted, combined with a literature review. Results Postoperative pathological examination indicated that it was a mucinous liposarcoma at the metatarsophalangeal joint. After 12 months of postoperative follow-up, no recurrence of the tumor was observed. Conclusion Mucinous liposarcoma at the metatarsophalangeal joint is rare. The diagnosis mainly relies on the results of pathological examination. When the immunophenotype is atypical, gene testing can help in diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Treatment primarily involves surgical resection.
