Abstract:This study discusses the clinical and pathological characteristics of cardiac sarcoma (IS). A case of IS combined with a history of lung adenocarcinoma is reported. The patient underwent surgical resection for adenocarcinoma in the upper lobe of the right lung and the lower lobe of the left lung in 2011 and 2023, respectively. After this, the patient experienced chest tightness and shortness of breath. A CTA scan of the pulmonary artery showed a low-density filling defect in the left atrium, and echocardiography suggested a mass in the left atrium with involvement of the mitral valve causing obstructive stenosis. Postoperative pathology diagnosed it as IS. IS is rare, highly aggressive, and has a poor prognosis. This case is also combined with a history of two episodes of lung adenocarcinoma, and there are currently no case reports. A review of the literature was conducted to analyze the clinical and pathological features, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis of IS, aiming to enhance understanding of this disease.
