Abstract:Objective To investigate the impact of HE staining depth on the diagnostic results of colonoscopy biopsies and propose solutions. Methods A total of 200 cases of colonoscopy biopsy tissues diagnosed as chronic inflammation of the large intestinal mucosa, proliferative polyps, and tubular adenomas in the pathology department of Tsinghua Union Hospital in 2025 were selected for a retrospective analysis of the impact of HE staining depth on diagnostic results. Results The differences in HE staining depth can affect the interpretation by pathologists. Conclusion Through standardized and refined management of HE staining quality control, the interference caused by staining deviations on diagnosis can be significantly reduced, ensuring the accuracy of the diagnostic results of colonoscopy biopsy tissues.
