Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical pathological features, molecular characteristics, and differential diagnosis of breast secretory carcinoma (SBC), analyze the similarities and differences between SBC and non-special type triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) in biological behavior, and review the latest progress in molecular treatment, to provide assistance for the diagnosis and treatment of SBC. Methods: A typical case of SBC was reported, and relevant literature on SBC was retrieved from the CNKI database and PubMed database. Clinical pathological data of 135 cases of SBC confirmed by pathology from 2015 to 2024 were collected and analyzed. Results: The tumor had a clear boundary with the surrounding breast tissue, mostly showing a pushing growth pattern. Different proportions of solid nests, cystic, microcystic, papillary, and ductal structures could be observed in the tumor tissue. Tumor cells showed little atypia. Immunohistochemical characteristics included positive expression of S-100, while ER, PR, and HER-2 were mostly negative. Special staining showed AB/PAS positivity, and ETV6-NTRK3 gene fusion was present. Conclusion: SBC is an indolent tumor, classified as triple-negative breast cancer, but it has low malignancy, slow growth, low invasiveness, rare distant metastasis, and a good prognosis.
