Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between the expression of ring finger protein family 126(RNF126)and BCL2-associated athanogene 6(BAG6)in gastric cancer tissues and the pathological characteristics as well as prognosis of patients. Methods A total of 102 patients with gastric cancer admitted to Qinghai Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to March 2021 were enrolled.Gastric cancer tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues were collected and divided into the gastric cancer group(n=102)and the adjacent group(n=102).The expression of RNF126 and BAG6 in tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. The χ2 test was used to analyze the relationship between the expression levels of RNF126 and BAG6 and the pathological features of gastric cancer patients. The influencing factors for prognosis of gastric cancer patients were explored by multivariate Cox regression analysis. Results The positive rates of RNF126 and BAG6 in the gastric cancer group were higher than those in the adjacent tissues group[(72.55%vs 27.45%),(74.51%vs 25.49%)](χ2=37.975,43.351,P<0.001).Correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between the expression of RNF126 and BAG6 in gastric cancer tissues(r=0.462,P<0.001).The positive rates of RNF126(92.59%vs 65.33%,91.67%vs 66.67%,90.91%vs 67.50%,95.00%vs 67.07%)and BAG6(96.30%vs 66.67%,95.83%vs 67.95%,95.45%vs 68.75%,100.00%vs 68.29%)in gastric cancer patients with deep muscular layer invasion, poor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage III were higher than those in patients without deep muscular layer invasion, with moderate to high differentiation, without lymph node metastasis, and with TNM stage I-II(all P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of gastric cancer patients with deep muscular layer invasion, poor differentiation, lymph node metastasis,TNM stage III,positive RNF126,and positive BAG6 was lower than that of patients without deep muscular layer invasion(55.56%vs 86.67%),with moderate to high differentiation(41.67%vs 89.74%),without lymph node metastasis(50.00%vs 86.25%),with TNM stage I-II(40.39%vs 87.80%),negative RNF126(52.43%vs 96.96%),and negative BAG6(55.29%vs 93.33%)(all P<0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that lymph node metastasis(HR=3.108),poor differentiation(HR=3.725),TNM stage III(HR=3.900),deep muscular layer invasion(HR=4.811),positive RNF126(HR=3.490),and positive BAG6(HR=3.397)were independent risk factors for the prognosis of gastric cancer patients(all P<0.05).Conclusion RNF126 and BAG6 are mainly positively expressed in gastric cancer tissues, and their positive expression is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of gastric cancer patients.
