Abstract:Objective To discuss the etiology, pathological diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and treatment of testicular low-grade serous carcinoma. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical history, symptoms, imaging data, and pathological diagnosis of a case of testicular low-grade serous adenocarcinoma diagnosed by the pathology department of Chengdu Fifth People's Hospital. Related literature was reviewed and analyzed. Results The patient was a 39-year-old male who had been found with a right scrotal mass for more than 10 years. Ultrasound showed a solid mass in the right scrotum. Grossly, the testis presented as a cystic-solid mass. Routine immunohistochemical staining showed that the tumor cells expressed SOX-10, WT-1, CK7, and CA125 (+). Molecular pathology testing revealed TERT C124T mutation, BRAF V600E mutation, and MET gene amplification. Conclusion Testicular low-grade serous tumors are rare ovarian epithelial-type tumors of the testis. Their imaging features are not specific. Histological morphology, immunohistochemical expression, and molecular pathological changes are consistent with low-grade serous tumors of the ovary. In male patients with testicular tumors, high vigilance is required, and differential diagnosis should be made with yolk sac tumor, mesothelioma, etc.
