The differential expression of CgA with different clone in different tumor

Abstract：Objective To investigate the differences in the expression of CgA of different clone in different tumor.Methods 60 paraffin specimens of three kinds of tumors were selected in this study,20 cases of each tumor.Two kinds of CgA:rabbit monoclonal antibody(clone:SP12)and mouse monoclonal antibody(clone:MX018)were evaluated by immunohistochemistry.Results The results showed that the positive rate of clone SP12 was 100％(20/20)in pheochromocytoma,80％(16/20)in medullary thyroid carcinoma and 65％(13/20)in carcinoid,and the staining intensity was weak to moderate.The positive rate of clone MX018 in pheochromocytoma,medullary thyroid carcinoma and carcinoid was 100％(20/20),and the staining intensity was strong,which was significantly higher than that of clone SP12(p＜0.001).Conclusion The comparison of results showed that the staining intensity of clone SP12 was weak,and there were false negative and non-specific staining.It was recommended to use clone MX018 for CgA immunohistochemical staining.
