Abstract:Objective To explore an improved method of endometrial embedding and its feasibility. Methods A total of 32 endometrial samples were collected, with 3 equal portions taken from each sample, randomly divided into three groups: the embedding forceps group (Group A), the traditional embedding hammer group (Group B), and the optimized embedding hammer group (Group C). A single technician performed embedding and sectioning using the corresponding method for each group. The quality of embedding and sectioning was evaluated based on the embedding flatness (the proportion of fragmented tissue concentrated on the surface of the wax block) and the section completeness (the proportion of the largest surface of fragmented tissue presented in the section). Results The embedding flatness and section completeness of Group C were higher than those of the other two groups. Conclusion The optimized endometrial embedding method can effectively improve the quality of embedding and sectioning, and is suitable for routine pathological preparation in clinical practice.
