Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinicopathologic feature of undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma of the pancreas. Methods Clinicopathological data of undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma of the pancreas were collected and analyzed by histomorphology and immunohistochemistry. Results At low magnification, the tumor showed no envelope, and the tumor cells showed solid flaky growth. At medium magnification, most of the tumors were undifferentiated with few tumor stroma. At high magnification, the tumor cell adhesion was poor, the nucleus was irregular, vacuolar, the nucleolus was obvious or there were multiple small nucleolus, the cytoplasm was equal, eosinophilic or bicolor, the nucleus was obviously heteromorphic, the mitotic image was easy to see,the nerve and vascular invasion were involved, and the tumor involved the tissues around the pancreas.Immunohistochemistry results showed that CK7,CK19,MUC1,MUC5ac,CD10,EMA,INI-1,CD68,Vimentin were expressed, but E-cadherin was not expressed. Conclusion Undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma of the pancreas has the characteristic histomorphology and immunophenotype.Timely and accurate diagnosis is of great significance for the treatment and prognosis of the patients.
