Abstract:Objective To investigate the association of sialic acid binding immunoglobulin like lectin 15(Siglec-15)and fatty acid binding protein 5(FABP5)expression with the clinicopathological parameters and prognosis in breast cancer patients. Methods 91 breast cancer patients admitted to Handan First Hospital from April 2017 to April 2018 were selected.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect Siglec-15 and FABP5 expression in tissues. The correlation between Siglec-15 and FABP5,as well as their relationship with patient prognosis were analyzed.Multivariate Cox regression analysis was used to determine factors influencing the prognosis of breast cancer patients. Results The positive expression of Siglec-15 and FABP5 in cancer tissues was higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues(P<0.05).FABP5 and Siglec-15 expression was associated with TNM staging and lymph node metastasis. There was a positive correlation between the expression of Siglec-15 and FABP5(r=0.483,P<0.05).The 5-year survival rate of patients with positive expression of Siglec-15 and FABP5 was lower than that of patients with negative expression of Siglec-15 and FABP5(P<0.05).Siglec-15,FABP5,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis were risk factors for the death of breast cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The positive expression rates of Siglec-15 and FABP5 in breast cancer are increased, which are closely related to the clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of patients.
