Abstract:Objective To introduce the usage method of an intraoperative frozen section slide holder. Methods After frozen diagnosis, residual lymph nodes and parotid specimens were selected for frozen sectioning. During the sectioning process, the sections were adhered using the 'one section two adhesions' and 'one section three adhesions' methods. Between the adhesion intervals, the frozen section slide holder was used to fix each tissue section in batches. Hematoxylin and Eosin (HE) staining was performed, and the staining effect was observed. Results After using the frozen section slide holder, none of the tissue sections on the slides showed detachment, and the staining effects were all excellent. Conclusion The stepwise slide holder not only meets the requirement of 'multiple adhesions per section', but also enables timely fixation of the tissue sections, providing convenience and assurance for performing 'multiple adhesions per section' in frozen sectioning.
