Abstract:Objective: To summarize and analyze the clinical and pathological features of extra-angioleiomyoma (GT) in the fingers and toes, and to improve the understanding of this disease. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 12 cases of patients with extra-angioleiomyoma in the fingers and toes was conducted, and the clinical and pathological features were analyzed along with a review of the literature. Results: Under the microscope, the tumor had clear boundaries, with angioleiomyoma-like structures and sleeve-like structures; the nuclei appeared ovoid like fried eggs, with fibrous or smooth muscle septa arranged in bundles; immunohistochemical markers SMA, h-caldesmon, Vimentin, Bcl-2, and Syn were positively expressed, while CKpan, LCA, CD117, Dog-1, CD34, CD31, and Desmin were negative. Conclusion: The incidence of extra-angioleiomyoma in the fingers and toes is low, and its clinical manifestations and microscopic features are similar to those of typical angioleiomyoma. Immunohistochemistry plays an important role in diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Treatment mainly consists of surgical resection, and the prognosis is good.
