Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical and pathological features of pulmonary glomuroma with indeterminate malignant potential. Methods A case of pulmonary glomuroma with indeterminate malignant potential was collected, and histomorphological, immunohistochemical, and special staining observations were performed. The findings were discussed in combination with relevant literature. Results The patient was a 20-year-old male with a lesion in the right middle and lower lobe. Microscopically, the tumor had an unclear boundary without a capsule, composed of sheets of uniform, well-defined round or polygonal cells surrounding thin-walled vessels, forming nests, showing infiltrative growth, and invading the bronchial cartilage. Tumor cells had eosinophilic, lightly stained, or clear cytoplasm, round or oval nuclei, inconspicuous nucleoli, focal moderate atypia, and rare atypical mitotic figures. Immunohistochemistry: Tumor cells were positive for Vimentin (+), SMA (+), Desmin (partial +), Syn (partial +), and Ki-67 (approximately 20% + in hot spots). Conclusion Pulmonary glomuroma with indeterminate malignant potential is rare and requires differential diagnosis with various tumors to avoid missed or misdiagnosis.
