Abstract:This study discusses the clinical pathological features, immunophenotype, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis of angiosarcoma. A rare case of angiosarcoma occurring in the placenta was collected for histological examination using HE staining and immunohistochemical staining, and relevant literature was reviewed. The patient showed no obvious symptoms; without placental pathology examination, it might lead to missed diagnosis. The tumor showed a lobular distribution under HE staining, with vascular spaces of varying sizes. In some areas, the tumor cells were arranged in solid or linear patterns, with marked cellular atypia and frequent mitotic figures. Immunohistochemistry: FLI-1, CD31, CD34, F8 were positive, and Ki-67 proliferation index was 50%+. This case of angiosarcoma is a rare, well-differentiated angiosarcoma occurring in placental tissue, exhibiting typical characteristics of angiosarcoma. A clear diagnosis requires comprehensive consideration of histomorphological features and immunohistochemical tests.
