Abstract:Objective To standardize the orientation of small specimen mounting slides, facilitating microscopic examination by pathologists. Methods Using an immunohistochemistry pen, draw three vertical lines spaced about 1 cm apart to form a 'grid' area, creating a 'specialized slide'. Each group of wax sections is adsorbed within the 'grid', then baked, followed by HE staining and mounting. Results After HE staining and mounting, the small specimens on the slide were neatly arranged, with consistent orientation and no slipping phenomena. Conclusion The 'specialized slide' can make the orientation of small specimen mounting slides consistent, which is convenient for pathologists to examine under the microscope. This method is simple, practical, and meets the needs of daily work, making it highly suitable for promotion in pathology departments, research institutions, especially in grassroots hospital pathology departments.
