Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between somatostatin receptor 2(SSTR2)and the clinicopathological features and prognosis of pulmonary neuroendocrine neoplasms(NENs).Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of SSTR2 in 120 cases of surgically resected pulmonary NENs,and the survival of the patients was followed up,and the clinicopathological features and prognostic relationship between SSTR2 and pulmonary NENs were analyzed. Results SSTR2 expression was correlated with the clinicopathological features of pulmonary NENs,such as tumor type,Ki-67 index, tumor size, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage(P<0.05).The level of pulmonary NENs was negatively correlated with the intensity of SSTR2 expression(P<0.05).Univariate Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that SSTR2 expression, tumor size, lymph node metastasis,TNM stage and other factors were associated with overall survival(OS)in patients with pulmonary NENs(P<0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that SSTR2,tumor size, and TNM stage were independent risk factors for mortality in patients with pulmonary NENs.Conclusion SSTR2 expression is closely related to the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with pulmonary NENs,and it can be used as an indicator to evaluate the prognosis of patients with pulmonary NENs.
