Abstract:Objective: To summarize the clinical pathological characteristics, molecular features, differential diagnosis, and treatment prognosis of solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) occurring in the nasal cavity, in order to enhance understanding of this disease. Methods: A case of a 69-year-old male patient presenting with a new growth in the posterior wall of the nasopharynx was reported, and the pathology diagnosis confirmed it as a primary SFT in the nasal cavity. Combined with previous literature, this study aims to enhance understanding of this disease. Results: SFT is a mesenchymal soft tissue tumor, and SFT occurring in the nasal cavity and nasal sinuses accounts for less than 0.1% of all nasal sinus tumors. Conclusion: The nasal cavity is a rare site for SFT, and pathological examination is the gold standard for diagnosis.
