Abstract:Objective To study the clinical characteristics, pathological features, immunophenotype, molecular subtypes, differential diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of vulvar adenocarcinoma of breast type (AMGT). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on one case of AMGT. Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. HE staining, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were used to detect HER2 gene amplification, and follow-up was performed for prognosis. Results The patient was an elderly female with a nodular mass on the vulva. A raised mass was found on the left labium majus, with rough and granular skin surface. The patient was HPV negative and had no history of breast disease. Histological features and immunophenotype were similar to invasive breast cancer. Immunohistochemical markers were CK7(+), GATA3(+), GCDFP-15(+), and HER2(3+). The pathological diagnosis was vulvar AMGT. Conclusion AMGT is rare, and the definitive diagnosis relies on histological features, immunophenotype, and clinical exclusion of metastatic breast cancer.
