Abstract:Objective To explore the differences and relationships between the clinicopathological features of breast cancer patients with different prognoses and the expression of high-mobility group box 3(HMGB3)and cluster of differentiation 36(CD36).Methods Bioinformatics analysis of the expression of HMGB3 and CD36 in different tissues was conducted;real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of HMGB3 and CD36 in different tissues;Cox proportional hazards regression model to analyze the influencing factors of disease-free survival of patients;Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank method to analyze the relationship between the expression of HMGB3,CD36 and the disease-free survival of patients. The clinicopathological features were compared in patients with different prognoses. Results The expression of HMGB3 in breast cancer tissues was higher than that in paracancerous tissues, while the expression of CD36 was lower than that in paracancerous tissues. The high-positive expression rate of HMGB3 in patients of the good-prognosis group was lower than that in the poor-prognosis group, and the high-positive expression rate of CD36 was higher than that in the poor-prognosis group. There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of the expression of HMGB3 and CD36 with the survival curves of patients(all P<0.05).Conclusion High expression of HMGB3 and low expression of CD36 may indicate poor prognosis and shortened survival in breast cancer patients. The differences in the expression of HMGB3 and CD36 affect the prognosis and quality of life of patients.
