Abstract:Objective To explore the histomorphological characteristics, immunohistochemical phenotype, pathological diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma(HL)involving bone marrow. Methods The laboratory test results of flow cytometry, bone marrow morphology, bone marrow biopsy and immunohistochemistry of 20 patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma were retrospectively analyzed, and the diagnostic value of different detection methods was compared. Results Different bone marrow fibrosis(MF)was found in all 20 cases by bone marrow biopsy and immunohistochemistry.17 cases(85%)showed single nuclear H variant cells under microscope.13 cases(65%)showed H-variant cells and R-S cells(H/R-S cells)under microscope. The pathological diagnosis was HL involving the bone marrow, but the results were negative or indistinguishable by bone marrow morphology and flow cytometry. Conclusion Hodgkin's lymphoma involves bone marrow tissue with pathological infiltration mainly characterized by nodular and granulomatous structures. In order to identify the stage of Hodgkin's lymphoma,it is recommended that bone marrow biopsy, immunohistochemistry and comprehensive diagnosis based on clinical manifestations and imaging results be used to assist in diagnosing whether it involves bone marrow.
