Correlation between p-AKT,VEGF,HER-2 expression and prognosis of bladder invasive urothelial carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-AKT),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)in bladder invasive urothelial carcinoma and its relationship with the prognosis.Methods Immunohistochemistry staining(IHC)and fluorescence in situ hy-bridization(FISH)were used to detect the expression of p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 proteins in 69 cases of bladder in-vasive urothelial carcinoma and 20 cases of benign bladder mucosa(chronic inflammation,papilloma tissue).Results The expression of p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 in bladder invasive urothelial carcinoma was significantly higher than those in benign bladder tissues(P＜0.05).The expression of p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 in high-grade invasive urothelial carcinoma was significantly higher than those in low-grade invasive urothelial carcinoma(P＜0.05).The expression of p-AKT in patients with later recurrence was higher than that without recurrence(P＜0.05).The expression of p-AKT was positively correlated with the expression of VEGF and HER-2 in invasive urothelial carcinoma(P＜0.05).The sur-vival rate of patients with positive expression of p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 protein was significantly lower than negative expression(P＜0.05).Conclusions p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 proteins may be involved in the occurrence and devel-opment of bladder invasive urothelial carcinoma,and are related to the prognosis of patients,and may become prognostic indicators of bladder urothelial carcinoma.There may be a mutual regulatory relationship between p-AKT,VEGF and HER-2 in bladder invasive urothelial carcinoma.
