Abstract:Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of serum platelet derived growth factor BB(PDGF-BB)and lipocalin-2(LCN2)in patients with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast. Methods Ninety patients with invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC group),30 patients with ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS group),and 30 patients with benign lesions(BPBD group)were selected to detect and analyze the relationship between the expression of PDGF-BB and LCN2 and clinicopathological features as well as the correlation between the two factors in serum and tumor tissue of patients with breast IDC.Results The expression of PDGF-BB and LCD2 in IDC group was significantly higher than that in BPBD group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The expression levels of PDGF-BB and LCN2 in serum and tissues of patients with breast invasive ductal carcinoma were significantly correlated with histological grade, lymph node metastasis,TNM stage,ER and PR expression. The expression level of PDGF-BB was positively correlated with that of LCN2(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PDGF-BB and LCN2 are highly expressed in patients with breast invasive ductal carcinoma, which increases the risk of cancer cell invasion and metastasis.Combined detection of PDGF-BB and LCN2 expression levels is beneficial to evaluate the prognosis of breast cancer.
