Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of DEP domain-containing protein 1B and cyclin-dependent kinases 1 in papillary thyroid carcinoma, benign thyroid lesions and para-carcinoma tissues, and to analyze the correlation and clinicopathological significance of the expression of DEPDC1B and CDK1 in PTC.Methods The expression of DEPDC1B and CDK1 in 66 cases of PTC tissues,40 cases of benign lesion tissues and 56 cases of para-carcinoma tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship was analyzed between the expression levels of DEPDC1B and CDK1 and the clinicopathological features of PTC and the correlation between the expression levels of DEPDC1B and CDK1.Results The expression of DEPDC1B and CDK1 was high in PTC,low in benign lessions and para-carcinoma tissues, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of DEPDC1B expression was statistically significant in tumor size and multifocal tumors(P all=0.027).The difference of CDK1 expression was statistically significant with tumor size(P all=0.030).The expression of DEPDC 1B was positively correlated with CDK1 in PTC(P=0.000).Conclusion DEPDC1B and CDK1 are highly expressed in PTC tissues, and have certain significance in separating benign thyroid lesions from PTC.DEPDC1B and CDK1 may synergistically regulate the progression of PTC.
