Abstract:Objective To study the morphological characteristics of CTCs in gastric cancer and esophageal cancer.Method CTCBIOPSY(R) abnormal cell sorter was used to enrich CTCs from 4 patients with esophageal cancer and 7 patients with gastric cancer.According to the morphological diagnostic criteria of CTCs developed by the research group,CTCs were identified, the typical CTCs were selected and the morphological (cytological) atlas of CTCs of gastric carcinoma and esophageal carcinoma were prepared.Result The morphological (cytological) characteristics of CTCs in typical gastric and esophageal cancers were preliminarily described. At the same time, the detected CTCs are validated by immunofluorescence. Conclusion The CTCs morphological diagnostic criteria developed by our group are scientific and feasible;in addition to morphological studies,CTCs should be qualitatively analyzed in order to verify the nature of CTCs,CTCs provide a basis for more in-depth study of the downstream.
