Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of proactive skin care combined with low-temperature oxygen atomization on radiation-induced oral mucositis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods A total of 80 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and radiation-induced oral mucositis admitted to our hospital from December 2023 to December 2024 were included in this study and randomly divided into observation group and control group(40 cases in each group). The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given proactive skin care and low-temperature oxygen atomization intervention in addition to routine nursing. The grading of oral mucositis, pain score, quality of life score and treatment efficiency of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results After intervention, the severity of oral mucositis in the observation group was significantly milder than that in the control group, the pain score was significantly lower than that in the control group, the quality of life score was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the treatment efficiency was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of proactive skin care and low-temperature oxygen atomization can effectively alleviate the symptoms of radiation-induced oral mucositis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, reduce pain levels, and improve quality of life.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
