Abstract:Objective To observe and explore the clinical effects of arthroscopic-assisted minimally invasive percutaneous plate internal fixation(MIPPO)technique and locking plate in the treatment of Schatzker type III tibial plateau fractures. Methods A total of 93 patients with Schatzker type III tibial plateau fractures who were admitted from January 2023 to February 2025 were selected and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods:the control group(supplemented with traditional locking plate treatment,n=47)and the observation group(supplemented with MIPPO technique assisted by arthroscopy,n=46).Perioperative indicators were recorded, the maximum angle of knee flexion and the maximum angle of knee extension were measured, the postoperative complications were observed, and the excellent and good prognosis rate was evaluated. Results The time of initial walking with crutches after surgery, the time of complete ground bearing after surgery, the time of fracture healing after surgery and the total hospital stay in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after surgery, the maximum angles of knee flexion and knee extension in the observation group were significantly expanded compared with those in the control group(P<0.05),and the postoperative complications were significantly reduced compared with those in the control group(P<0.05).The excellent and good prognosis rate of the observation group was 91.30%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The MIPPO technique assisted by arthroscopy has an ideal therapeutic effect, which is helpful for patients with Schatzker type III tibial plateau fractures to improve knee joint mobility, reduce complications, and achieve full recovery as soon as possible.
